Log in to a Website on Campus
To make edits to your website you must first be logged in.
Type in your website address followed by /duckid/login
That will bring you to the Duck ID Login screen. Click on Login with Duck ID.
To log in to a pre-production -stage website, you must either use the UO campus network (wireless or ethernet) or be connected to the UO network via VPN. See log in to a website off campus for more information.
Enter your Duck ID and password and click Login. Your Duck ID is the first part of your @uoregon.edu email address.
NOTE: If you get an error message while attempting to access the user page, check that the web address is using HTTPS:// and not HTTP://
NOTE: If you have forgotten your Duck ID password, go to Duck ID service and click on "Forgotten Password" to begin password recovery.
Log in to a Website Off Campus
To log into a live website off campus, follow the on campus instructions.
If you need to access a pre-production -stage website while off campus, you will need to be connected to the UO network through a VPN on your computer, tablet, or mobile device. Our staging sites are not intended for the public so we limit their access off campus.
Once you have installed the VPN software and logged in, you will be able to see and log in the -stage website.
If You Get an Error Message
If you are off campus and not logged in to the VPN and attempt to access a -stage website, you will receive an error message. Generally the error message will say something about the site timing out or that it can't be reached.
If you see one of these messages, make sure to check your VPN and ensure you are connected.
After Logging In
After you have logged in, you will automatically be redirected back to your site's Dashboard page, and two new admin menu bars will be visible at the top of the page:
From these two menus you can access the content creation menu or browse for the content that you wish to edit. The most commonly used menu items are Add content and Find content.
